BRAIN SCANS OF DEEP PRAYER – PART I

When a psychiatrist at Johns Hopkin studied people who claimed to speak to God, he found evidence that left even seasoned scientists in awe. The brain scans, that were taken during deep prayer or trance-like states, suggest the parietal lobe shows reduced activity. The parietal lobe is the area in a person’s brain responsible for your sense of boundaries – where “you” end and the world begins. People report a loss of self-boundaries when they connect and communicate with the Eternal, Self-Existent One. Deep prayer – with words or without – enables a feeling of unity with the One who made mankind in their image (Gen. 1:26-27), because God built this ability into every single human being. Behold, God has made an eternal abiding place for the sons of the Living God where you belong… where you feel at home. We just have to tap into the True Love of the sublimely generous and kind Heavenly Father, which is the spiritual foundation of the world. Truly every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of Lights (James 1:27). Even scientists reported that this deep abiding place isn’t a hallucination in a clinical sense, but a measurable shift in how a person’s brain processes self-awareness.
You are so much more than you can think or imagine, especially when you spend time uniting with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
