GOD’S JUDGMENT OF FALSE TEACHERS

It’s time in this Kingdom Day for God’s righteous, holy, and just judgments upon the false teachers: “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be FALSE TEACHERS among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber” (2 Peter 2:1-3 NKJV).

These are those who sow lies and deceit amongst God’s people for the purpose of selfish gain. Notice how false teachers blaspheme the way of truth. The Greek word for “blaspheme” in 2 Peter 2:2 is Strong’s G987 blasphēmeō, which can be translated as blaspheme, speak evil, rail on/at, revile, defame, or vilify.

Also notice, that “by covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words” (2 Peter 2:3). The KJV puts it this way: “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you.” Through false teachers greedy desire to have more, they sell God’s people to the Satanic Kingdom. With their false, artificial, and fictitious (i.e., feigned) words, they buy and sell on the demonic trading floors.

Scripture speaks of the depravity of False Teachers: “But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children” (2 Peter 2:12-14).

The deception of false teacher is a grievous affair where their door to the flesh within is wide open, as they bring people previously free in Christ back into bondage through their extravagant words devoid of truth: “For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: ‘A dog returns to his own vomit,’ and, ‘a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire’ (2 Peter 2:18-22).

Father God is now righteously judging all false teachers. However, truth be told, any of God’s people, who will not deal with their own slimy door of the flesh within, can operate in the same pride-filled manner as the false teachers; therefore, all false teachers within and without will be righteously judged at this time, so that His people can turn from their wicked ways. God’s way of truth is always redemptive. Mercy is built into the loving and kind Heavenly Father’s judgment. That’s why His mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13).

Let’s us join the sweet psalmist of Israel by crying out: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalms 139:23-24).
