Hebrew is a pictorial language where each letter is a picture, sometimes called a pictograph. Each letter of the Hebrew Alphabet also has at least one number associated with it.
In 2015, I coined a term for the 22 Hebrew letters – “Hebrew Living™ Letters – to distinguish the reality that each Hebrew Letter is a living being inherent in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Just as the Seven Spirits of God are to the Holy Spirit, so are the Hebrew Living™ Letters to the Word of God. This secret is pointed to in one of the mysterious and hidden names of Yeshua – ALEF-TAV (תא) – which represents the Lord of All Creation from ALEF (first) to TAV (last).
“ALEF is the first letter of the Hebrew Alef-bet and has a numerical value of both 1 ad 1000. Its pictograph is an ox or bull, which symbolizes strength or leader. Alef is a silent letter; therefore, it points to the mysteries of the oneness of God. Alef is made up of two yuds and a vav. The upper yud can represent the hidden and infinite aspects of YHVH. The lower yud can represent the revelation of YHVH to mankind. The vav that connects & separates the two realms can represent humanity, because vav is the 6th Hebrew Living™ Letter and man was created on the 6th day. Vav is a diagonal due to being humbled in the face of God’s mysteries. Since alef is a picture of 3 letters in 1, it depicts the ALEF is ONE (echad). Yet there are three persons in the Godhead, which is emphasized with the numerical value of the word “alef” being 111 (three 1s or 1x1x1).
