Shapes, colors, sounds and numbers have all been created by God Himself; therefore, they are redeemable. Remember that everything good and pleasing about the Hebrew Living Letters™ (HLL) flow from the vital life-force innate in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

The fourth letter of the Hebrew Living Letter™ Alef-Bet is DALET (ד). Consequently, DALET has the numerical value of 4. Its pictograph looks like a door; therefore, DALET symbolizes a door; a path or a way of life; or a movement, especially into or out of.

Since the numerical value of the letter DALET (ד) is 4, it corresponds to the four elements of the physical world: fire, air (wind), water, and earth. There are four seasons of the year and four directions to a compass. When the river that watered the Garden of Eden flowed outward, it branched into four streams (Genesis 2:10). Four is especially connected to creation and creative works, but it is also a divine number as well.

There are four faces to the Living Creature in Ezekiel 1: lion, ox, eagle, and man. The four faces (presences) of the Living Creature can also be called the four faces of God and/or the four faces of Melchizedek. Know that the four abominations in Ezekiel Chapter 8 that drive God’s Dwelling Presence far from His sanctuary map to these four faces. To the degree that we compromise with the four abominations is the degree that we will not attain the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). For more information, check out

There are also four Hebrew Living Letters to God’s Sacred Unspeakable Name YHVH (יהוה - YUD HEI VAV HEI).

Messiah Yeshua calls Himself the Door: “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9 NKJV). Yeshua’s earthly lineage was from the Tribe of Judah. It is interesting that the name Judah (Yehudah - יְהוּדָה - YUD HEI VAV DALET HEI) contains every letter of the sacred name YHVH, which suggests that the door to I AM THAT I AM is through the Tribe of Judah.

The bent shape of DALET represents humility and lowliness. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (Hebrew 4:10 NKJV). Humility is a doorway to God’s House attained through cleaving or clinging to God (devekut). We are called to walk in the same manner as Jesus: “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8 NKJV).

The Hebrew word for “religion” is dat דת, which means the “door of the cross” when we look at its Ancient Hebrew Pictographs. When Jesus says. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Rev. 3:20), He is speaking as “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last” (Rev. 1:11) and as “I AM He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I AM alive forevermore” (Rev. 1:18).
