We are in the season of everything being laid naked and bare before the One whom we must give an account… and I mean everything… “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13 NKJV).
The wicked will continue to try to hide their shame in their darkness while the righteous will rejoice at the revealing of their hidden sins so that they can confess and repent to become free and pure.
Listen to how the man after God’s own heart dealt with this situation: “This is what I’ve learned through it all: All believers should confess their sins to God; do it every time God has uncovered you in the time of exposing. For if you do this, when sudden storms of life overwhelm, you’ll be kept safe. 7 Lord, You are my secret hiding place, protecting me from these troubles, surrounding me with songs of gladness! Your joyous shouts of rescue release my breakthrough” (Psalms 32:6-7 TPT).
Confessing your sin to God in the time of exposure will eventually lead to you being fully clothed with your eternal, immortal dwelling place where you will not be found naked. “For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee” (2 Corinthians 5:2-5 NKJV).
Too many have trusted in material comforts and riches in our day, which have no eternal value. “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:17-20 NKJV).
“What bliss belongs to the one whose rebellion has been forgiven, those who sins are covered by blood. 2 What bliss belongs to those who have confessed their corruption to God! For He wipes their slates clean and removes hypocrisy from their hearts. 3 Before I confessed my sins, I kept it all inside; my dishonesty devastated my inner life, causing my life to be filled with frustration, irrepressible anguish, and misery. 4 The pain never let up, for your hand of conviction was heavy on my heart. My strength was sapped, my inner life dried up like a spiritual drought within my soul. 5 Then I finally admitted to You all my sins, refusing to hide them any longer. I said, ‘My life-giving God, I will openly acknowledge my evil actions.’ And You forgave me! All at once the guilt of my sin washed away and all my pain disappeared!” (Psalms 32:1-5 TPT).
May we all embrace this time of exposure to receive the bliss of cleansing and forgiveness!
