The Book of Jude is especially relevant for us in this hour of His-story. As we behold our Beloved Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) to become just like Him, we must also “contend earnestly for the faith” (Jude 1:3).
Notice what Jude connects to contending earnestly for the faith: “For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 1:4). Doesn’t this feel like a current word? Notice how Jude is calling out the ones who use the grace of God as an excuse to sin; thus, denying the authority, power, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude, the bondservant of Jesus Christ adds more about these ungodly ones whom the faithful ones struggle against: “Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of the glorious ones” (Jude 1:8). The word “defile” in my Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (10th Ed.) is very revealing. “Defile” means to make unclean or impure, as to corrupt the purity or perfection, to violate the chastity (deflower), or to make physically unclean especially with something unpleasant or contaminating; to violate the sanctity of; DESECRATE, SULLY, DISHONOR, CONTAMINATE. My heart and mind go toward the grievous human tr*fficking so prevalent in our day, especially the deflowering of innocent children.
There are those among the church of our Lord Jesus Christ who not only tolerate the desecration of these precious ones made in God’s own image, but they are complicit. It’s time for those called, sanctified by God our Heavenly Father and preserved by Messiah Yeshua, to make a stance in the natural and the spiritual of NO MORE! If believers would collectively make a strong stance in the spirit (in Christ) and do whatever we can in the natural when an opportunity arrives, this issue would be squelched post haste! Don’t you know that you are a game changer! You are a history maker! You are among the ones who stand for goodness, righteousness, and truth.
We are in a unique time in His-story that the righteous Enoch prophesied about: “Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’ 16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage” (Jude 1:14-16).
Are you to be counted among the “ten thousands of His saints” coming with the Lord to execute righteous judgment on all the ungodly who speak and do outrageously wicked things? Now is the time to convict all the ungodly through the Holy Spirit of sin, righteousness, and justice, so that they might be saved (Rom. 14:17; 2 Pet. 3:9).
“But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 1:17-21).
