Recently, a friend told me: “I feel so unqualified.”
My response: I was disheartened a few years back. I was trying my best to be pure, as the Bible articulates. I remember forlornly telling the Lord, “I will never be pure,” after an umpteenth shortcoming. I clearly heard Him say: “A heart that is doing the best they can do at any point in time is considered pure to Me.” That great grace realization released me from any performance mentality, as I focused on simply loving and seeking Him to the best of my ability every single day. Romans 1:5 says that grace (great grace) has a purpose, and that purpose is obedience to the gospel. Just do your best and take everything to God. He will lead you in the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
