I’ve been amazed at the lack of integrity of some who proclaim to be ministers of the gospel. Actually, it is more that a lack of integrity. It’s pure evil masquerading as light for the purpose of fame and fortune.
How did they lose their way? My guess is based on the Word of God itself: “For the love of money is the root of all evil” (I Timothy 6:10 KJV).
Throw in some pride. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6 NKJV).
Then add some selfish ambition to come up with a fundamental wickedness that is way too common in the Church. Notice how jealousy, pride, disorder and lies accompany the nastiness of selfish ambition: “But if you have bitter jealousy and SELFISH AMBITION in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. FOR WHERE jealousy and SELFISH AMBITION EXIST, THERE IS DISORDER AND EVERY EVIL THING” (James 3:14-16 NASB).
The thief spirit that comes to steal, kill and destroy is too rampant in the Church (John 10:10). Let’s merely touch on stealing. Take for example that the gentleman who writes original content for “Hebrews for Christians” has had multiple ministers steal his written works, even publishing his materials as their own in books that they have sold on Amazon.
Unfortunately, I’ve had similar experiences of people trying to steal original copyrighted content (and other things), which if they had they had a righteous and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, they would never think about, let alone attempt.
I have experienced especially loathsome thievery from people in the Church Universal who say that they are trying to “unite” the ecclesia; however, their fruit speaks of being based in selfish ambition, mammon, and pride. When one such “thief” was caught placing a copyright on my already copyrighted material, they took down the content (under the threat of being sued); but refused to have integrity to recant publicly. They publicly displayed their own copyright on my previously copyrighted material, so I asked them to publicly acknowledge that they violated my copyright. From what I saw, my guess is that this person and their ministry steals other people content all the time and portrays it as their own.
The day is here for God overturning the money changers tables. God is switching the tracks for the bullet “glory” train ministries that are plowing over people and forcing their own way through to greater prestige and power. I have seen in the spirit that these people’s ministry trains will come to a dead-end cliff where the tracks are out. If they don’t slow down by humbling themselves, praying, repenting, and seeking His face in order to turn from their wicked ways, their train will crash upon the rocks below.
The locusts that have held-up His Glory Train will be judged. It’s time to redeem what the locusts have stolen. Gone are the days when leaders in God’s House can get away with stealing, killing and destroying. God Himself will be the Judge (James 5:9).
We all need to be praying that these man-based ministries repent and submit to God, so that the devil will flee from them, because God’s judgment and reverential fear is literally now in His House.
“But He give a greater grace. Therefore, it says, ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and you joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you” (James 4:6-10 NASB).
God’s people need to be really discerning who they are listening to and associated with in these last days. These ministers, who are operating in a Thief Spirit, look and sound really good on the outside, but inside their hearts have become corrupted and evil. Some fell one little compromise after another. Some are literally wolves in sheep’s clothing who haven’t even accepted the Lord Jesus (Messiah Yeshua) as their Lord and Savior. Discernment is one of the most needed gifts in these perilous times. Simply pray to be humble and teachable. Pray to be able to discern the true heart-intent of those who say that they are ministers of the gospel.
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lover of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV).
Remember, even the elect can be deceived. Many people externalize this concept thinking it’s others that will be deceived, not me. I have learned the hard way that evil masquerades as light and can even mirror it. If you think that you can’t be deceived by false shepherds and false prophets, you already are.
Let’s all pray to be humble and teachable every single day. Let’s ask the Lord to be able to discern good from evil.
