Gratitude was not only one of the last messages that Yeshua (i.e., Jesus) modeled at the Last Supper, it was also a major component of King David’s Tabernacle of David. Gratitude is literally a key of David. Notice how these Scriptures seem so current. It reflects the devout heart cry of His Global Bride – you and I. My gut tells me that gratitude (i.e., thanksgiving) are fundamental to rebuilding the Tabernacle of David in our day.

Listen to David’s heart after God in the words of these psalms:

  • “Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies’ sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; in the grave who will give You THANKS?” (Psalms 6:4-5 NKJV).

  • “He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who ride against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I WILL GIVE THANKS to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles (nations), and sing praises to Your name. Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore” (Psalms 18:48-50 NKJV).

  • “O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praises to the LORD, you saints of His, and GIVE THANKS at the remembrance of His Holy Name” (Psalms 30:3-4 NKJV).

  • “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will GIVE THANKS to You forever” (Psalms 30:11-12 NKJV).

  • “Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions. I will give You THANKS in the great assembly; I will praise You among many people” (Psalms 35:17-18 NKJV).

  • “To the Chief Musician. Set to ‘Do Not Destroy.’ A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. We GIVE THANKS to You, O God, we GIVE THANKS! For Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near” (Psalms 75:1 NKJV).

  • “Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power preserve those who are appointed to die; and return to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord. So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, will give You THANKS FOREVER; we will show forth Your praise to all generations” (Psalms 79:11-13 NKJV).

  • “A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day. It is good to GIVE THANS to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High; to declare Your loving kindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, on an instrument of ten strings, on the lute, and on the harp, with harmonious sound” (Psalms 92:1-3 NKJV).

  • “You who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, and GIVE THANKS at the remembrance of His Holy Name” (Psalms 97:10-12 NKJV).

  • “Oh, GIVE THANKS to the LORD! Call upon His Name; make known His deeds among the peoples!” (Psalms 105:1 NKJV).

  • “Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles [nations], to GIVE THANKS to Your Holy Name, to triumph in Your praise” (Psalms 106:47 NKJV).

  • “Oh GIVE THANKS to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercies endures forever” (Psalms 118:1 NKJV).

  • “Surely the righteous shall GIVE THANKS to Your Name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence” (Psalms 140:13 NKJV).

Give em heaven!!!
