What does it means to be “in the midst” of God’s Kingdom?

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Lamb of God, who is our caring Shepherd, that guides us to the water of life. “For the Lamb in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life” (Revelation 7:17a). “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalms 23:1).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Great Shepherd of our souls. “Now the God of Peace who brought up from the dead the Great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever, Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the appearance of the Chief Shepherd and crowns of glory His good shepherds. Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away” (I Peter 5:2-4).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom, the Good Shepherd self-sacrificially protects and provides for His people. “I am the Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Lamb in the midst of the Throne of His Heavenly Father. And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth: (Revelation 5:6). “And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: ‘Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!’” (Revelation 5:13).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the overcoming Blood of the Lamb. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (Revelation 12:11). “Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’ So he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes’” (Revelation 7:13-17 NKJV).
