Visualization is a powerful technic for success. Before collegiate basketball games, I used to practice various aspects of the game in my mind, like shooting free throws, jump shots, etc. It really upped my game, as they say. One thing that I would like to point out is that visualizing something is not the same as doing the thing that you envision. I still had to play the game to make what I visualized real. This is where I believe many in the Body of Christ are getting off.

Some teach about eternal potential realities. They say they already exist and are a reality. Yes. These heavenly realities are positions in the heavenly realms that 100-percent in Christ. However, on earth you and I have an earthly condition that may or may not completely align with the heavenly position of 100-percent of the fullness in Christ.

Both the heavenly positions in Christ and your current earthly condition are true. Our goal is for our earthly condition to be perfectly aligned and one with the heavenly position in Christ. This is where healthy visualization comes in. Each heavenly position in Christ, like the “righteousness of God in Christ,” is what we focus on. These are our upward call of God in Christ goals. However, if we simply visualize our goals and don’t get in the game of life to practice them, we merely have done a mental exercise. Please note the Scripture I am referring to is 2 Corinthians 5:21 – “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” For more on this subject, please refer to

To say otherwise, like you are already the righteousness of God in Christ, is a delusion when your actions don’t line up with this heavenly position. I can’t think of a better way to disqualify people than to make them believe that they are already something that they are not. This lie from the pit will keep you stunted in your growth while causing you to believe otherwise.

Don’t fall for this devious and delusional snare of the devil. Don’t fall for never actualizing what you visualize. Why would anyone play a game of basketball (or any other sport) if everyone believed picturing winning a game is the same as doing it? Why? Because, it is not the same. Visualization is meant to be played out in life. Once you genuinely become a manifestation of something like the “righteousness of God in Christ” everyone knows it. So, “let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV).

The Apostle Paul wrote this as an example for our generation: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attainto the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:10-14 NKJV).

Give em heaven!!!
