“My soul faints for Your salvation, But I hope in Your word. …Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth” (Psalms 119:81,88 NKJV).

KAF (כ‎) is the eleventh letter of the Hebrew Alef-Bet, which has the numerical value of 20. The ancient pictograph for KAF looks like a palm of a hand, and by extension anything that can be contained within the palm of the hand. “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:16 HNV).

The palm of the hand is the place where a person’s potential is actualized. The two Hebrew Living Letters ™ that spell the word “KAF” (כף) are KAF and PEY. כף are the initial letters for two Hebrew words: koach (“potential”) and poel (“actual”). Thus, KAF hints at the latent power within the spiritual realm of the potential, which can be fully manifest in the physical realm (what is actual).

Grammatically, when a Hebrew word has the living letter KAF (כ‎) as a prefix, it adds the dimensions of being “like” or “as.” For instance, putting KAF as a prefix on the Hebrew word for “king” (melekh) – k’melekh – communicates being like a king. When we “prefix” (place before) ourselves with Messiah Yeshua, we are conformed to His image. We resemble Him. Since KAF is a picture of the palm of the hand, being like the king’s palm means that we resemble Yeshua (Jesus) in what we do (works, acts, and deeds done).

Furthermore, when KAF (כ‎) follows a Hebrew word, it indicates possession. If we add KAF at the end of melekh, we get a personal message of melekha – your king. KAF can also depict a crown of a prostrate individual. When we follow Yeshua by bending (kafaf) our wills in submission to the King of Kings, we will be given the crown of righteousness (keter ha tzedakah) as a reward. This is when we will be doing only what we see the Father and Son doing: “Then Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner” (John 5:19 NKJV). “He who does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous” (I John 3:7 KJV).

The Hebrew Living Letter™ KAF (כ‎) is equivalent to 20. The maximum height of a Sukkah (temporary structure built to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles here on earth). This is symbolic for the maximum potential of your earth and mine being manifest by literally becoming the dwelling place of God: “ ‘Come here. I will show you the wife, the Lamb’s Bride.’ … Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth passed away, and there is no longer sea. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them” (Revelation 21:9,1-3 NASB).
